Long Live Legs is the new Brighton based legging and active-wear company start up, founded by Mikaela Perera.
Mikaela is a yoga teacher, artist and designer. Her passion for leggings came from being unable to find the perfect legging to teach in, so she set about making her very own. After discovering that Yoga students liked her creations, she decided to go one step further and make them for an Etsy shop and share the designs and market on facebook too. Long Live Legs .com is on the way soon, so keep an eye out for the new site. Having worn these leggings a lot to teach in myself, I can attest to her promise that the fabric is light, breathable, fast-drying and non-slip – perfect for yoga.
Mikaela says; “Its the fit I really like – a high waist to give added support. I’m not into elastic digging into me, so I don’t use it in the leggings as its not necessary in the cut in do. I hate baggy knees and visible ‘camel-toe’, and these leggings don’t have that problem at all. I do also make a flattering low waist version for those ‘flat tummy’ days….”
Shorts are available in the same fit and are also suitable for both men and women. Autumn and Winter will see a full range of Long Live Legs clothing, with added tops and warmer wear. Until then, click here to visit the Facebook page, and here to go to the Etsy site.
Mikaela will have a range of taster leggings at the Brighton yoga festival, complete with a demonstration in the main performance area. Click HERE For more information about this year’s exciting Brighton Yoga Festival – which I’ll be teaching at, accompanied by the amazing DJ OM Nebula!
