ABOUT ME

Emma is an E-RYT500 yoga teacher, writer and therapist & wellbeing coach based in Sussex, UK.

Having been introduced to meditation and visualisation during childhood, Emma has always engaged with holistic practices and ‘alternative’ therapies. After studying music and graduating with a BA honours degree in music performance, she took a different path, training to teach yoga with Esther Ekhart of EkhartYoga.com, and further training in India with Julie Martin of Brahmani Yoga, restorative yoga with Anna Ashby, Chakra Vinyasa with Shiva Rea, and pregnancy yoga with Sally Parkes. Emma owes much of her deeper education in yoga, Ayurveda and ancient wisdom to her mentor and teacher Pauline O’Connor.

Along-side her first yoga teacher training studies, Emma qualified as a massage therapist and has been working as a therapist ever since, incorporating holistic and deep tissue massage, acupressure, sound healing, Ayurvedic Yoga Massage, and breath work into her treatments. Her passion for Ayurveda has lead her to study the subject deeply with her mentor and teacher, and she leads the Sussex-based Yoga, Ayurveda & Holistic Health Course and the online MODERN AYURVEDA course. Emma incorporates her further knowledge and qualifications in EFT (emotional freedom technique), Wellbeing Coaching, Forest Bathing Guide, Reiki, and many different styles of yoga into her courses and coaching sessions.

As well as teaching classes and leading retreats in Sussex and internationally, Emma is a Holistic Health & Wellbeing coach, guiding clients through one-off sessions to address health concerns, or an 8-week health coaching programme to get to the root of issues and heal them. She is a contributor to magazines such as Breathe and Soul & Spirit, and online platforms such as , The Holistic Journal, Yoga Matters, Ekhart Yoga and London’s The Wellcome Collection.
