An in-depth course for yoga, movement and meditation teachers as well as practitioners eager to take their understanding of holistic health further, this course dives into the fascinating and transformational world of yoga and Ayurveda, and how to use holistic wellbeing as a powerful tool to help both yourself and others.
Whether you want to teach your clients how to care for themselves by utilising natural Ayurvedic principles, lead workshops or classes inspired by holistic health, gather new ideas for your classes, or simply enhance your own life by applying these inspiring and transformational practices to everyday living, this course will help you more deeply understand yourself and the world around you. Comprising of four modules over four months, you’ll really be living the practices, therefore able to fully integrate them and learn what works for you and the people you may want to help.
The course is purposefully kept to a maximum of 12 people, giving everyone the opportunity to get the absolute most out of it, to be fully supported, and to really form your own understanding of everything you learn. Module subjects include ancient and modern yoga & Ayurveda and why they’re so relevant today, living seasonally, working with clients and your own conditions, yoga and meditation practices, specific sequencing for each Dosha, season & specific conditions, cooking and herbal health, circadian rhythms and mind-body medicine, and other practical and therapeutic techniques. You’ll also be given an in-depth manual with information and inspiration to keep. After graduation, you’ll be able to register with the accrediting body the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine, and refer to yourself as being qualified in Yoga, Ayurveda & Holistic Therapy.

Your Course Teacher
Emma Newlyn is an experienced yoga teacher and teacher trainer, therapist, cook and writer. Having lived with yoga and meditation for most of her life and trained with some of the most highly respected teachers in the field, she weaves a wide range of influences through her classes, courses and therapy sessions. Emma currently writes for some of the UK’s most widely read blogs and wellbeing magazines such as Yogamatters and Breathe Magazine on subjects spanning from yoga philosophy, to Ayurveda, meditation, mindfulness, nutrition and the mind-body connection. She continues to co-lead on 200hr yoga teacher training courses, as well as on-going development courses, and annual retreats.

- 18th & 19th July 2020: Mantra, Meditation, The Magic Of Cooking. The Power of The Senses. Taste, Agni and Ama, digestion, using herbs and spices effectively for health and wellbeing. The use of mantras for transforming mind-body wellness. History, development and practical application of meditation. 10am-4pm At Jungle Healing Both Days
- 15th & 16th August: Yoga, breathwork and movement sequences to release stress and unblock energy pathways, specific conditions, sleep, Pranayama, Movement & Stillness, restorative yoga, The Art Of Relaxation, Healing Touch, Traditional Chinese Medicine workshop with guest teacher Sarah Major. Hands on work & Thai Yoga Massage workshop with guest teacher Marek Gabor.. 10-4pm both days at Jungle Healing, Crawley
- 26th & 27th September: Putting It All Together. Living an Ayurveda-inspired lifestyle, the specifics of working 1-2-1, chakra therapy, sound healing, inspiration for your own practice and teaching, Mobility & Flexibility joint health workshop with guest teacher David Croft. Final assessments. Graduation. 10am-4pm on the Saturday, and 10am-4pm on the Sunday both days at Jungle Healing Studios, Crawley
£496 per person
This price equates to less than £70 per day of training, includes your in-depth manual and journal, snacks and tea each day, all food and drinks provided on the cooking module, course certificate, accreditation, self development sessions (in person or via Skype), and on-going support.
Payment plans are available to make the course easily affordable for you. A deposit of £96 is required to book your place. The full reading list and welcome pack will be sent after booking is confirmed.

Christopher Mowen: Structural & Soft Tissue Kinesiologist & Tai Chi Instructor
Chris is the founder of Freeflow body solutions. After practising Tai Chi for over 11 years under a Tai Chi Lineage Master, Chris set up his own Tai Chi School with colleague Clive Ellis in April 2011. Together they have flourishing classes, including Age UK in East Grinstead and Nuffield Health. Chris also works with patients across Sussex as a structural and soft tissue kinesiologist at The Kinesiologist in East Grinstead, utilising techniques such as myofacial release, neural resistance therapy. Vitally, Chris has a deep and truly embodied understanding of subtle energy and how to connect with it through movement practices.
Sarah Major: Expert Acupuncture Practitioner & Course Leader
With over 25 years’ experience, Sarah is one of the most experienced acupuncture practitioners in the country.She has established and developed a successful and diverse practice in Sussex and has particular passion in women’s health, hormones and fertility, having successfully treated hundreds of patients wishing to conceive naturally or with assisted fertility techniques to achieve their dream. For many years Sarah has lectured at ICOM (International College of Oriental Medicine) where she combines her knowledge of both clinical and academic expertise to share her knowledge and experience with those wishing to study the ancient art of acupuncture. In December 2018 she took up the post as Clinic Director at ICOM.
As a teacher, she has taught undergraduates from Greenwich and Brighton Universities and postgraduate qualified acupuncturists, who wish to specialise in the field of women’s health.
Marek Gabor: Owner of Jungle Healing Studios and Thai Yoga Massage Pracitioner & Course Facilitator
Marek Gabor, known also as Jungle Man, is an intuitive and experienced practitioner of the healing art of Thai Yoga Massage. One of the few authorised teachers of The Sunshine Network in the UK, Marek has trained extensively in Lahu Village in Chiang Mai, Thailand, with numerous international Thai masters over the years.
Marek offers deeply healing treatments and trains therapists in accredited courses internationally as well as offering bespoke courses specialising in particular practices. Marek is renowned for his adaptive and responsive style, passion and authenticity.
As part of his therapies and trainings he offers private Hatha yoga Sivananda style classes and runs the Jungle Healing yoga, movement, meditation and massage studio in Crawley.
David Croft: Yoga Teacher, Moving Stretch Instructor and Therapist, FRC pracitioner
David is a qualified Moving Stretch® Level 2 Trainer, Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist (FRCms), Yoga Teacher and a Second Degree Reiki Practitioner.
Having trained directly under Moving Stretch creator and founder Suzanne Wylde, David is passionate about sharing this ground breaking new way to stretch, which is unique and distinct from traditional stretching techniques. By providing resistance during the stretch, either by self-stretching or assisted stretching, each person is able to engage and reshape the fascia; releasing the body from pain, stiffness, and limitation.
With a great interest in all forms of natural movement, David is also works as a Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist (FRCms) under Dr Andreo Spina, and has studied with Ido Portal and MovNat, as well as breathing workshops run by world renowned S&C coach Steve Maxwell and ‘The Iceman’ Wim Hof. Qualifying with the Freestyle Yoga Project, David also teaches yoga in an intelligent, creative and accessible way.
David offers 1-2-1 assisted stretching / walking massage / FRC sessions, group Moving Stretch Classes in West Sussex, and also run regular workshops and retreats.
