MODERN AYURVEDA ONLINE COURSE

The 10 week online Modern Ayurveda course explores the fascinating world of Ayurveda and how to bring it into modern life. Ayurveda is the ‘science of life’ or the ‘art of longevity’, and offers an abundance of teachings, practices and lifestyle advice. This course covers the origins of Ayurveda and the authentic ancient practices, and teaches students how to make them accessible, relevant and beneficial in everyday life for a range of clients. From self-care practices like self massage with specific oils and the use of specific herbal blends, to yoga sequences, meditations, seasonal living and daily routines, course participants will be able to use what they learn in their own lives, as well as with students and clients after graduation.

The course includes live online classes, workshops and lectures, filmed yoga classes to practice and access any time (and keep forever!), guided meditations, assignments, recommended reading, and case study work. Upon successful completion of the course, graduates receive their certificate which will allow them to use this knowledge in their existing work, or as a basis for further training. Many people who take part in the course are therapists, yoga teachers, personal trainers, and those who wish to learn for their own interest. There are assignments and course work to complete throughout, giving each course student a thorough, embodied and genuine understanding of the teachings.

Please note that all sessions are recorded, so if you are not able to attend the live classes 6-7:30pm on Wednesdays, students can complete the course via the recordings. Upon successful graduation, you’ll receive your Modern Ayurveda certificate, which is accredited by the IPHM, meaning you can add your newfound knowledge to your existing work and offerings.

Emma is a fantastic teacher and I have learnt so much from the L1 and L2 courses. Emma teaches the information in an modern and easy to understand manner. Emma is so knowledgeable and genuinely cares about her students and teaching and helps answer questions along the way. Highly recommend! The course is packed with useful information and has been super helpful for me personally as well as for my case studies too. Thanks Emma!

What a throughly nourishing and enriching 10 weeks. Emma’s delivery was totally captivating, leaving me with an appetite for more, so I have already booked onto the level 2 course in September. I would absolutely recommend this course to anyone wishing to learn more about Ayurveda!

        – Lu Mays, course graduate

“I could not get enough of the L1 Modern Ayurveda course with Emma. The weekly discussions and learnings were so inspiring and Emma’s delivery of the material and her broad holistic approach is so accessible and made me want to keep learning more. Her passion and interest in all things Ayurveda is infectious. From the short breathing and movement openings of the weekly calls to the feedback on homework – the course is practical and helpful and I have found so much of it has pervaded my daily life, helping me personally and feeding into my own yoga teaching business. Thank you! You’re a star.

        – Kat, L1 course graduate

“Emma is an amazing yoga teacher and an absolute Ayurveda genius! I have learnt so much on the level 1 and 2 courses and Emma is a wonderful teacher and guide, always happy to open up discussions on health, well – being and seasonal living. As well as the in – depth understanding about Ayurveda Emma gives, there are also extra recipes and links included to try on your Ayurveda journey. I highly recommend these courses written and ran by Emma as they are full of value to support your growth and learning.”

        – Clare, L2 course graduate

“I have really enjoyed the Modern Ayurveda online course. Emma has so much knowledge on Ayurveda and wellness to share, and she shares it in such an interesting, thought-provoking and accessible way… with a great sense of humour! As well as deepening my own self-care practice, I have learnt so much that I can’t wait to share with others. I would 100% recommend this course for anyone interested in learning about Ayurveda!”

        – Sarah Steed, course graduate

“The Ayurveda course taught and led by Emma is one of the best things i’ve ever put money towards. Something thats helped me grow as a person, become more knowledgable, and self-healing too. The context of what the course itself dives into a little bit of everything, the manual provided is a great tool to refer back to with all the information you need but Emma also provides references to other books that are great reads too. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent learning with Emma and the course has given me a passion to study again. I’m hungry to know more and go further with my self development and very eager to do my level 2 asap. Thank-you for all the time and love you put into your teachings”.

        – Jader Skinner, course graduate

“Thank you so much for doing this course, I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I really loved having that connection with everyone each week and speaking about what was really going on with ourselves. I have grown so much confidence since doing the course, at first I hated talking about myself and then each week got easier and I really feel like something has shifted in me. I feel a lot more about whats going on in my body, I am in touch with my cycle more and listen to my body.”

        – Natasha Holmes, course graduate

“Highly Recommended. I would recommend this Ayurveda course to anyone who wishes to learn or deepen their knowledge of Ayurveda. The manual is clear and concise and at the tutorials to get to add much more information in a friendly, caring atmosphere. I felt supported at every step and looked forward to receiving my feedback each week. Emma is amazing, very knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable, safe and welcome.”

        – Sarah, Level 1 course graduate

“I completed Emma’s modern Ayurveda level 1 course recently, Emma is highly knowledgeable in this
subject and makes the learning process so much easier for any level of understanding. Can’t wait to
complete my level 2 next year. Thanks Emma.”

Jo Anthony, Level 1 course graduate

“Thank you so much for the course, I really enjoyed every aspect of it. I joined more so to improve my teaching and maybe for use as an additional offering but at this time the biggest benefit has been to my personal life and wellbeing. It has really opened my eyes to the practises and things I consume daily. I’ve really taken on board living with the winter energy since we finished and though it feels like fighting against the norm everything just seems to flow and make more sense by not rushing to do everything when it just doesn’t feel natural seasonally. Thank you again and I’m excited to see where the knowledge learnt will take me from here”.

        – Lily Henley, course graduate

Already knowing a little bit about Ayurveda is what encouraged me to do the level one modern Ayurveda course with Emma, however I would never have imagined to have enjoyed it as much as I did. Having the virtual class once a week split the content into manageable chunks which made the textbook as whole seem less daunting, and meant I was able to personally connect with everyone else on the call, sharing ideas, stories and our own imbalances. Emma was so amazing at answering my emails with my many added questions and gave me the guidance I needed if ever I was a bit stuck on a certain concept. Overall it was such an enjoyable experience that has allowed me to know my body and myself better so I can take better care of my health as a whole in the future.”

        – Hannah Capone, Level 1 Course Graduate

“The level 1 Modern Ayurveda course with Emma was fascinating and I can’t wait to learn more, I feel like this is just the beginning. Emma is very accommodating and relaxed as a facilitator and makes all the material very assessable and easy to follow. I’m looking forward to doing level 2. “

Lucy Bryan-Smith, Level 1 Course Graduate

“I have been looking at studying Ayurveda ever since I completed my yoga teacher training, but hadn’t found the right course… until I stumbled across Emma’s. The main appeal to me was that it was modern in its approaches and integrated with weekly yoga practices too. An extra bonus was studying in my own time, with constant support from Emma whenever I needed it! The course itself was clear and concise, but also really fun too. Emma makes everything easy to understand and enjoyable. It was useful to work with a case study throughout the course as I now feel confident in coaching others. Overall it was a rounded course with everything I need to know and much more. I feel so much more confident in my own blueprint and how to cater to my needs and to the demands of each season. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that wants to understand themselves better, as well as empowering others to do the same”.
